C.B. WESTON MEMORIAL FUND

The C.B. Weston memorial fund is set up to help minority scholarship as well as funding safety bags for women and children of domestic violence.

Carrie B. Weston (C.B.) departed from us January 26, 2006 due to renal failure. C.B. was a devoted church member as well as a missionary. C.B. sacrificed for her children Linda and Stephanie until the day she went to be in peace. She was a believer in education. Ironically having a 6th grade education, she was a brilliant woman and wanted us to have a lucrative education.

C.B. believed in the "Pay It Forward" mentality and raised us to do the same. In her honor we are setting this fund for two causes: Minority Scholarships for lower/middle class children who want to attend a parochial school, college, or university but don't have the income to meet certain guidelines.

The second cause: Against Domestic Violence Safety Bags- Safety bags will be given to women and children of domestic violence. Bags will consist of emergency needs for the victim as well as the child to leave safely. The bags will be given to local police departments to give to people who are in need.

Our family will also extend an award to several survivors of domestic violence each year to help them with their new life.
