JUDITH JOHNSON MEMORIAL FUND FOR CJD

The Judith Johnson Memorial Fund for CJD is a tribute to the memory of Judi- a mother, wife, nurse and friend to everyone who crossed her path. This fund was created to hold the memory of Judi in our heart while we continue her lifelong passion of giving/helping to others.

Judi passed away on January 2, 2008, at the age of 63 from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. This disease is a rare, invariably fatal brain disorder. It reportedly effects around one person per million every year, which translates to 250-300 new cases in the United States per year.

Her sudden passing left many heartbroken. We miss her dearly and her memory fills our hearts with joy. Judi is survived by her husband Barry, son Dan, daughters Betsy, Sarah, Tori, Suzanne (daughter-in-law), grandchildren Charles, Amanda, and Rebecca and countless friends and colleagues whose lives she touched.

All money raised will be donated to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation, so that they may continue on their mission of raising awareness and finding a cure for this disease. To help even one more family avoid the pain that my mother and family experienced would make my mother proud, allowing her passion for helping others to live on.
