TOM PIGOZZI MEMORIAL HOCKEY SCHOLARSHIP

Tom Pigozzi, April 14, 1957 – August 5, 2007, grew up in Evanston, where he attended Haven Elementary, Nichols Junior High and Evanston Township High School. Tom played youth hockey for the "Evanston Boys Hockey Association" where he was consistently the leading scorer and most valuable player for his Squirt, Peewee and Bantam teams. At ETHS Tom was selected to the All-Conference Hockey team four times and was instrumental to ETHS winning two back-to-back State Hockey Championships in 1974 and 1975. He went on to play hockey at the University of Wisconsin Stout. Tom's father, Raymond A. Pigozzi, was instrumental in founding the Evanston Boys Hockey Association.

This fund has been established in Tom's memory to help disadvantaged players with the costs of playing in the Evanston Youth Hockey Association. Funds for this scholarship will be made available through donations by Tom's friends and family.

Guidelines

1. Applicant must be registered with Evanston Youth Hockey for the current season.
2. Scholarship is for one season only and is not renewable
3. Recipients will be selected by the Tom Pigozzi Memorial Hockey Fund administrators. The decision of the administrstors is final and may not be appealed.
4. There may be up to 3 scholarships awarded for each season.
5. The breakdown of scholarships will be as follows:
   • One scholarship of up to 100% of the published Evanston Travel Youth Hockey Travel fee schedule
   • One scholarship of up to 100% of the published Evanston Youth Hockey
     House fee schedule
   • Up to 100 full sets of equipment to play for the Evanston Youth Hockey Association Initiation/Beginners program
